Thanks, Coach!

Just a super-quick post today---
I wanted to do something special for my daughter's volunteer baseball coaches to say thanks---I have never seen two people so dedicated to kids and baseball!  I decided to make them each a VERY simple scrapbook.  Throughout the season, I took pictures of all the kids, so I had those.  I used the Cricut to cut the baseball, and red floss to stitch it...one thing I always like to do if an album is bound by a ring is to tie some ribbons on it.

On each page, I put a picture of a player (I am only gonna show my own player!).  For embellishments, I punched a couple of circles from Fancy Pants' On Trend collection.  I used a couple of star stickers and put each player's name on with stickers.
The best part of the album, though, was that I had each child write a message to the coach.  They ranged from "I love you dad" (if the player's dad was the coach) to "Sorry I got in trouble" (so cute) to Lucie's (below).

The coaches were both very touched, and the wife of one told me he said it was the best gift he ever got!  Awww :)  Isn't that why we scrapbook?
Once I had my photos printed, these two albums took about three hours to complete!!! EASY!!!

Today, over at Ideas for Scrapbookers, Pam is showcasing layouts with photos we didn't necessarily love.  Should be a good one.  Check it out here...
And, you have till June 27 to submit a project using a die cut sunshine over at Stuck on You Sketches!
Thanks for looking today!

  2. This is FANTASTIC!!!! I bet this will be cherished for years!

I wondered if this was a pre-made chipboard album, or if you cut this yourself? The background looks so good!! Did you paint it or cover with paper? I have only covered my chipboard mini backgrounds using ModPodge and papers. Would love an easier way, though! :)
