Hello and happy summer!!!
Welcome to the Ideas for Scrapbookers' summer blog hop!
If you are hopping along, you should have arrived here from Tanya's Blog.
If you are lost, you can always start again at IFS!
I wanted to showcase a summer project I have been working on. My older daughter has SEVERAL teachers, and decided she would like to give each one of them an end of the year gift. I wanted it to be something these folks could actually USE! After much brainstorming in the aisles of Walmart, I decided to buy them grilling spices. Most people grill in the summer, so I thought it was a safe bet.
It ended up being about $5.50 per teacher, so the total wasn't TOO bad.
My project is the bag for the spices. I simply took a small gift bag apart (coincidentally, the bad was the perfect size to hold two jars of spice), traced it on a piece of summery scrapbook paper, cut it out and glued it together.
Then it was time to embellish the front. I used lots of yummy American Crafts materials!
Here is my bag:
I attached a little sentiment that I printed from the computer.
My daughter added a letter to each teacher thanking them, and the gifts were complete!
Something about that fruit says summer! I hope you will try a summer project too.
Your next stop on the hop is Sarah!
But before you go, I wanted to tell you about an RAK I am offering up to new followers. All you have to do to win this is become a follower of my blog and leave a comment saying you did. Feel free to follow me on Pinterest too (and I will follow you back!).
I don't have a picture of my RAK, but I will tell you about it: it's a little 6X6 "kit" I put together in hues of yellow, gray, back, and brown...I think you will like it!
