New Reveal for ScrapFIT: #81 I am so thankful!

Check out our new workout---
This time of year we are all reminded to be thankful for all the things in our lives.  Let's take the time to create a layout that is dedicated to something or many things we have to be thankful for.
I wanted to do something in nontraditional fall colors...
Lots of Crate Paper here...last summer we went to Washington, D.C. for our first family vacation, and that led me to think of many things I am grateful for.  First, I am so thankful that I am American.  There is something about being in that city that brings out patriotic feelings you may not even know you have.  It made me feel so proud to live where I do and so thankful for all of the leaders and soldiers and others who have either given or spent their lives to better our country.
Also, my thirteen year old loves history and she was the perfect age to bring on this trip.  These pictures were taken at the Lincoln memorial.  She spent so much time reading every sign.  I am so proud of her and thankful that she loves to learn about the past.  We felt so fascinated by Ford's Theater that we attended the same lecture twice.

You can't have a layout about D.C. without a star on it somewhere.  I put a few strips of washi tape on red paper, and then punched two stars out of it.  I "doodled" the outline around the edge of each star, and then pop-dotted the small one on top of the larger.  Just one more thing to do with WASHI!!!

You've got until the end of the month to link up over at ScrapFit to win a fabulous prize:  this month's FITkit!
Here it is, BUT if you don't want to wait, head over to Paper Issues and buy yours today!

Good luck and have fun!
Thanks for stopping by today...
