Gate Die Cut Challenge at Stuck on You Sketches

This challenge was to use a gate, which is not something I have ever used before.  Thank god for pals who own every Cricut Cartridge known to man---I borrowed a friend's Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge and cut this gate out.  I'll be honest, I still didn't know how to use it.
Then I took my daughter's Brownie troop on a field trip to Boldt Castle, a gorgeous island castle on the St. Lawrence River...then I knew exactly how to use it.
I am doing my own version of project life this summer in a SNAP! binder, so this layout is rather small.
I used lots of Glitz goodies on this page---the gate and the circle overlay fancied it up a bit, even though she is wearing a t-shirt!

I love this little banner, which I dangled from the gate.

One more closeup of my layering, including a tiny black skeleton key, which fits with the age of the castle for sure.

What a fun trip!  I am so glad I was able to document it!

Head over to the Stuck on You Sketches Blog to get complete details and to enter this challenge.  Check out how the other DT members were inspired to use a gate on their projects!
Have a lovely weekend!

I find it hard to use a gate too, not really sure how to use one. lol I've been to the Boldt Castle too and found it amazing!! My son took me and his little brother with his military group. It was such a fun thing to do and I loved the tour of the St. Lawrence river! So amazing at all the islands out there!! Now I need to document all my pics from that time! Hugs!
