My last reveal at Pixie Dust!

Hello all!  Yesterday was my last reveal at Pixie Dust.  I have enjoyed working with Kirsty so much!  She has really challenged me to do projects outside my comfort zone.  For this summer themed project, I decided to do a little table decor for our upcoming fourth of July party.  This project was SOOOOOO easy.
I used some styrofoam from the packaging for my new blender to fill a little white bucket I already had...you need something for the skewer to stick into.  I cut the circle and the star on my cricut machine.
Using a stylus and a ruler, you score a line from the tip of each point to the inward angle strainght across from this.  Once you've done this, you bend along your score lines and make your star three dimensional.  And then, buttons and twine make everything cuter.
I didn't want anyone to be able to see the styrofoam, so I accordion folded a piece of paper for the top.
And then, the little details---the silvery ribbon is actually clearance Christmas ribbon.  I tied a little bow around the handle, and also glued it around the large circle (see top picture).  I glue dotted lots of little paper and cork stars on the bucket.
I think this will look great on my deck table!
If you have a summer themed project, head on over to Pixie Dust and link up!  You could win a gift certificate to the Pixie Shop!
Thanks for stopping by today!
