Back from an enjoyable couple days in Cooperstown. And no, I didn't go to the baseball hall of fame. But I DID read three books, swim in a gorgeous pool, take long walks and have wonderful meals. And just moments before I left, I completed this layout, entitled "Live out Loud", of my crazy Lulu, who isn't afraid to wear red with pink nails!
This layout was based on this sketch, from Sketchy Thursdays:
Great site: one new sketch every week. You should check it out if you haven't already. I wanted to highlight a couple of things:
In the above shot, I used used a rubon on the photo, something I really liked and I think I will do more often. Also, I layered two journaling cards, which was fun. I tied some plain twine around the journaling just to add that little sumpin sumpin, you know what I mean? And BTW, that twine is my latest greatest find. I got a huge roll at Lowe's for three bucks. I use it on everything!
In this shot, I wanted to talk about the triangular border. I actually used a diamond punch and cut the diamonds in half to make triangles. Then I put a Sassafras Lass border sticker on top of all of the triangles. This layout used lots of stuff from my latest kit from Scrapbook Circle...some great October Afternoon paper, a cork star, and a red button.
So that's my layout. More to come soon on what I did with some macaroni boxes. Intriguing, huh? Thanks for looking today!
Great layout!! I think Lulu and my daughter Lindsay would get along just great!!
