Hi there---today there is a new die-cut challenge over at Stuck on You Sketches...it is something to wear---I LOVED this challenge and couldn't wait to get started.
Lately, I have been loving the combination of reds and blues, and I knew I wanted to do something wintery. Here is what I came up with:
I love this look and often see it on Pinterest and on blogs I follow...the look of a few pictures in a grid style in the center of a layout. I also knew that if I didn't plan it specifically, I'd NEVER use these cute wood veneer frames.
First, I put some really light brush strokes of light paint on the paper. Then I used my Silhouette to cut some vellum snowflakes. I only adhered them in the middle, because I wanted some dimension on my page.
I filled the frames with some coordinating goodies---a few brads, some sequins, and...
last but not least, my die-cut of something to wear...mittens! I cut them out with the Silhouette, and then used a white pen to sketch in some details. And finally, some white and silver twine to attach them together!
This was such a fun layout that I never would've done without prompting from this challenge. I really hope you play along with us this month. Head over to Stuck on You Sketches to see what the very talented Design Team came up with....
