Post #1: Fall Banner for Stuck on You Sketches!

Hello!

Today, Stuck on You Sketches has an autumn themed die cut challenge!

I made a banner---I really love banners lately.

 

Here it is:

 

It's a little hard to see the first and last letters, so I will let you know it says "Give Thanks".

It's fall themed---it'll hang in my house until Thanksgiving!

 

I had a lot of fun adding little details to each part, and I used all sorts of stuff from Michael's Recollections line, some My Mind's Eye, Stampin' Up, and Close to my heart.

 

Here are some closeups.  The maple and oak leaves that I used were cut with my new silhouette, and for some reason, I loved the hint of aqua with the other warm fall colors.

 

I also used a scalloped circle Sizzix die to cut these pieces of burlap.  I didn't stiffen the burlap first so the edges frayed a little, but it's ok, it feels rustic!  And, what's a project without sequins?

 

Another little touch of aqua...

 

And finally, a die cut oak leaf!  You can see I did some stamping too!
