When I saw the sketch and the challenge over at Imaginisce this month, I knew I wanted to participate. There was a gorgeous sketch by Diana Fisher, and some interesting rules...
I had a picture of my husband and daughters that I wanted to use.
Here is my take on the challenge:
Of course, all the paper I used is from Imaginisce, but I wanted to use my itop which I have loved forever. I made a brad, below, with two layers of fabric. And I stitched a little vellum pocket to hold my journaling.
I made sure to use lots of brown, since that was in the rules! I included this little bow that I stitched up one night (I am a huge TV junkie, but I don't like to watch TV without doing something!).
You can also just catch a glimpse of the white behind the photo. It is my recycled piece---a piece of packaging that I embossed with hexagons.
I also used some mist and lightly colored in a few of the herringbones on the paper.
SO, there you have it! Here are the rules of the challenge:
1. Use the sketch as inspiration for your project (i.e. card, layout, mini book cover, etc)
2. THEME: Father
3. Use the color BROWN
4. Use some kind of recycled product on your project.
Here is Diana's sketch:
Hope you head over to check it out! Thanks for stopping by :)
