Hi! Just wanted to share a quick layout I did using mostly Paper Cottage, a collection from Basic Grey!
It was the start (on a Friday after school) of Christmas Vacation, and my teenager was in an exceptionally good mood so she decided to shovel the driveway! That doesn't happen very often lately (the good mood or volunteering to shovel), so I grabbed the camera.
I loved this little series of her!
I decided to fussy cut some elements out of another page and do some layering.
This was a fussy cut with flair on top!
What's funny about this is that this paper really wasn't my favorite in the collection, but I LOVED it with these photos.
And hey, sometimes we freak out about using another sheet of paper just to fussy cut a few elements...most of us are paper hoarders. But, hey, it's only paper, and it went into the scraps pile to be used on another project down the road. Don't be afraid to use it, ladies :)
And over at Ideas for Scrapbookers today, the Designer Showcase features journaling on your layouts. This is something I struggle with, so I found the post very useful! You won't want to miss it!

ReplyDeleteLove the way you used the BG line Sheila, and the design of your page! And I always love a good photo series on a layout!!
ReplyDeleteAhhhhh, the fun of living with a teenager!!! LOL! I am so happy that you got photos of her! Your layout is awesome and really creative! I love it!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely gorgeous! I love those pp's & embellishments. That's why kits are great to work with, because a paper we may not normally purchase or like, can work perfectly with our photos and become a favorite! Beautiful job and those photos are amazing!
ReplyDeleteGorgeousness with the colors! I love this spectacular! Beautiful layout!
