First DT projects for Curtsey Boutique

Hello!  Today I am pleased to be able to share with you my first projects completed as part of the Design Team at Curtsey Boutique.
I was inspired by Pinterest (aren't we all?), where I saw adorable little signs identifying the bride and the groom on the backs of their chairs.  They then turned around in those same chairs with the signs for a photo shoot.  It was so cute, I just had to make some.  I found these frames in my "craft closet", along with some vintage music.  I printed the "bride" and "groom" words on some vellum, which I positioned over the music.  I thought these little corrugated silhouettes were perfect for this project.  You can purchase them here.
I hot glued some ribbon to the backs to hang them, but I felt they needed something more.  I added these adorable little ecru rosettes from Curtsey; you can purchase them here. I wanted to embellish the rosettes, so I added a tiny flower to the center.
Here is a closeup:
I think these little rosettes add the perfect touch to just about anything.
And a closeup of the silhouettes:
I just love these too!

My next project was a favor bag for this same wedding (the one I am imagining in my head).  How I wish I could have another wedding now that I have discovered crafting and there is pinterest and etsy!  I'm afraid I was not very crafty at my own wedding.
Here is my favor bag---I imagined my wedding in yellow and gray, as that is a color combo that I am really loving right now!

I filled it with pistachios (another thing I am loving lately!).
I used LOTS of Curtsey products for this one.
First, the kraft bakery bag, which is the perfect base for any project like this.
I had to add the gray butterfly that Carrie Anne made.  It is truly gorgeous, with layers.  I used some yellow scraps of my own, which I border bunched.  I topped it off with a little pearl bling and some seam binding tape to give it some more dimension.
Here are some closeups:

Now that's what I call a favor bag!

Let's face it, many of us (I am definitely guilty of this) might say, Oh I can make this or that myself, so there is no need to buy it.  And we all have good intentions, right?  But very few of us actually take the time to sit down and do it!  That's why I am so grateful that Carrie Anne takes the time to do this for us!  And her prices are very reasonable.

The store, Curtsey Boutique, is here.
The blog, where you can check out more of Carrie Anne's work, along with the rest of the DT (you won't want to miss their projects) is here.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
