Make your own embellishments!

Hello!
I definitely stepped out of my comfort zone with this layout and my last---bright colors are not usually my thing.  But I ended up loving this line and everything in it!
This was going to be a reveal for Paper Lovelies, but unfortunately, Carrie decided to close up shop :(.  A challenge for me however, being new to the kit club design team scene, is to pretty much only use what came with the kit.  You may be forced to make your own embellishments!  It is sometimes difficult, but I love it. The only items on the page below that are not Amy Tangerine are the teal paper that I matted the picture with, a scrap of black paper, and the tin pin.
I struggle with titles, so a friend read to me all of her song titles on her ipod.  This one just kind of rang true.  Lucie and I have a really special relationship!  However, onto the embellishments---
I made an accordion fold flower and cut it in half, below. I punched the little hearts and backed them with black cardstock.  Another thing I did was cut apart the paper that had the little frames all over it.  I sort of layered and popdotted them.  I really like how it looked!
I just had a lot of fun with this layout and I really enjoyed embellishing!
Hope you are having a wonderful summer so far---thanks for stopping by!
