Friday-Try-Day: Hexagon Mania!!!

Happy Friday!!!
This Friday, I didn't necessarily think about projects you could try, but rather projects that perhaps may inspire you.  As in fashion, "what's old is new again" seems to apply in scrapbooking and crafting.  I am amazed at how many hexagons I am seeing lately...the hexagon punch from creative memories was among my first purchases when I finally decided to GET SERIOUS about scrapbooking.  I used it constantly at first, and then it sort of collected dust for years.  I guess it is time to get it out again.  Check out these pictures from PINTEREST:
1.  Though three of these photos are quilt related, there is no reason we can't adapt to paper...What grabbed me about the top photo was the rainbow colors...how fun would it be to something like this with your scraps?
2.  The second picture, lower left, is a card that displays a pretty way to make a flower with your hexagon...though made of paper, it has a fabric-like look.
3.  The middle picture I loved because the edges provide a beautiful contrast...and if you have an old hexagon punch, there are two sizes that would be perfect for this technique.
4.  The last picture, though a bit hard to see, shows a tone-on-tone look---all the hexagons on this design are the same color as the background.  The stars are applied on top.

Rather than list all the websites, I thought what I would do is give you the chance to see my boards on pinterest  here.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a chance to get crafty this weekend...I am attending an all day crop on Saturday that includes a garage sale (can't wait!!!) and I am a teaching a flower class and hoping to get some DT work done...
