Man am I irritated!

Well, I thought I was being soooooo smart and organized by printing out some sketch challenges so I could complete them at my leisure, and I took the Sketchy Thursdays sketch, here:
made this nice layout, here:

went to link it up, and saw this----the extra twist on the challenge---complete with silver and blue!!!
AARGH and double AARGH!  There actually is a lot of blue, but other than a flake or two in my stickles, no silver.
Sigh.
I was so proud of myself, because I haven't gotten my rear in gear to do a S.T. challenge in awhile.  I was even prouder because one of my New Year's resolutions is to use the material I have, and I used stamps on this layout (the two green half circles on either side).  Those of you who know me know I have a massive collection of stamps that are almost never used!
Here are a couple of close ups:
This shows the stamped image that I stickled a bit better.  I made the pink flower, which was actually a mistake but I couldn't bear to throw it out, so I tinkered with it a bit. I'm not gonna explain too much as I am thinking of doing a similar tutorial over at ScrapFIT.

Also, I just wanted to show you how I added the dots with my SewEasy tool .
Thanks for listening to my ranting and raving and for stopping by.  I guess next time, I better read before I craft, huh?

  5. It looks great, even if it isn't in the colors specified in the sketch! Consider it "thinking outside the box."
