If you happen to use this sketch, link up to Sketchabilites and share with us. We'd love to see what you come up with! Be sure to check out the other design team member's work. It is truly impressive. I tell you, I look at their layouts and think, "Why the heck did Karan pick me?"
Scrappinsecurity attack!!!
In any case, here is sketch #58:
Is this too beautiful?
I got a bit braver this time and didn't interpret SO literally~here is my take:
I absolutely love this photo of children playing at my house last July. It was a beautiful hot day, and a friend had brought lots of...well, squirt sticks. I don't know how else to describe them. The kids loved them and played in the sprinkler and in the water most of the day. I loved this shot---how it was off center, how you can see the sprinkler going...a scene like this called for bright colors, and Echo Park summertime did the trick!
One more shot (an idea for you to try):
This sun sticker was cute, but too plain. First, I popdotted the whole sticker. Then I put tombo (wet) glue all over the top. Sprinkle the whole thing with seed beads, then shake off the extra and voila! Sunshine with some texture!
If you are worried about the beads falling off, you can put a thin coat of any clear wet adhesive over the top---crystal effects, liquid glass, etc. Once dry, it secures the beads in place.
Thanks so much for looking and be sure to head on over to Sketchabilities---this place is never short on inspiration!
That is a gorgeous sketch and I LOVE your interpretation.
