Dollar store Crepe Paper?

Hellooooo (like on Seinfeld)!  Any Seinfeld fans out there?
Today I wanted to share with you a wonderful, cheap material that is often overlooked---Crepe Paper!
It is readily available in lots of colors, and is very cheap---I think it is a dollar for two. It also seems to last forever.  I get mine at the dollar store or Walmart, but if you know any other crepe-paper-shopping spots, PLEASE share.
One EASY way to use crepe paper is to ruffle it.  I seem to use some sort of ruffle on most projects.  Here is a simple card that I put together based on a sketch from Cardabilities (a great website with all sorts of card sketches---always something new for a challenge there)!
I put a strip of double sided tape on the card, and gathered red crepe paper across the width of the card.  I really like the texture it adds to the page.

On this layout, I used white  crepe paper for a ruffle:
Same basic technique as the card---instead of using double sided tape, I gathered the crepe paper on the back of a border sticker.  Then, I glued the border sticker down.  Here is a closeup:
I am working on a couple of crepe paper flowers right now that I will post tutorials for as soon as I am happy with them.  It could be a day, or it could be a month...
Thank goodness for rainy days...I actually got about an hour and a half in my craft room today!  Spent my time working on some awesome upcoming DT assignments for ScrapFIT
Thanks for looking!
