Only You

Hello there! 
For this challenge, from One Day at a Time, I thought about using the picture I took of my husband saying goodbye to his beloved vacuum cleaner.  I ran the idea by him and then thought better of it :-).

So, here is the layout---

This is my older daughter, kissing "Jacob", a life size cardboard cutout that was part of her Twilight birthday party.  In my house, a serious debate is ongoing---I am firmly Team Edward, Ellie is Team Jacob, and Lucie, who doesn't know much about Twilight but picks up on all the hoopla, is Team Bella.    This layout is based on a sketch from awesome Sketchy Thursdays! Here it is:

As you can see, I kept it fairly simple.  I am always saying use what you can find, not just specifically scrapbooking supplies, so I wanted to show you a closeup of this flower:

It is made of a thickish felt.  Guess where I got it?  Pier 1!  It is part of a placemat. I cut it out and still have lots of it left to use!  I also have sworn to use some of my supplies that I haven't even thought of in a long time---hence, glossy accents!

I traced the vine and leaves behind the journaling with a glossy glaze---hard to see in a picture (sorry)  ---it is raised, and a really cool effect.  I also ruined a journaling tag that looked just like this one.  So, I traced it, cut it out, and outlined it in black and red! 

So there you go---this week's layout.  Hope everyone remembers to look everywhere for supplies and dig out that stuff you spent good money on but keep forgetting to use!
